Vintage “Le Romarin” Corning Ware 2.5 Qt. A-10-B Covered Skillet Dish. The “Spice Of Life” pattern was introduced in 1978 and was produced through the late 1980s. It became instantly popular like the classic Blue Cornflower pattern. The Spice of Life design was made with larger glass knobs on the lids and the casserole dishes were a straighter, more square body with larger handles.
This casserole dish has the band of vegetables, herbs and spices in the earth tones that were so popular in the buying 1970s. Both sides of the skillet dish have the Spice of Life pattern with “Le Romarin” below in black cursive writing. The bottom of the dish is embossed with ”A-10-B, 9 3/4 x 9 3/4 x 2, Corning Ware, For Range & Microwave, USA”. The lid is an original Pyrex with “Pyrex A-12-C” and “1-0” on the other side. Both the casserole dish and Pyrex lid are in excellent condition with no chips, stains or scratches. The dish pattern on both sides have no wear marks or scratches. This is a heavy, quality vintage casserole dish that truly shows the craftsmanship of the 1970-1980s bakeware!
